At PDAX, security is always our priority.
We take extensive measures to ensure that every account is as safe as possible, but keeping your account secure is also a shared responsibility. To ensure that your PDAX account is safe at all times, please keep in mind the following:
Make sure that you are on the official PDAX website at www.pdax.ph when you log in.
One of the most common ways that a phishing scam works is by impersonating a website so it closely resembles the real thing. Entering your login credentials on this phishing website can seriously compromise your account.
To prevent this, avoid clicking links or opening attachments in emails. Always make sure that you are on the actual website by checking the URL.
Double check that the PDAX news and updates are from our official Facebook page.
Our official Facebook page is verified and has a blue verified icon.
Be vigilant when reading news and updates about PDAX, especially when it comes to ongoing giveaways, promos, and how to claim prizes.
Should PDAX need to reach out to you, our Customer Support Team will contact you directly via email.
Keep your login credentials private.
Do not give your login credentials to anyone. PDAX will never ask for your password, 2FA or OTP code, or other sensitive information, especially over the phone or via email.
Familiarize yourself with the common cryptocurrency scams.
Gone are the days when what you don't know won't hurt you. Today, vigilance is the key.
In the age of cryptocurrencies and digital money, not knowing what you're up against, what to avoid, and what not to do can have disastrous results. On a positive note, this can be prevented if you have an idea what to look out for.
Among the most prevalent crypto scams today include fraudulent ICOs, phishing websites, Ponzi schemes, and fake mining pools.
Employ best practices when creating a strong password for your account.
In addition to complying with our minimum password requirements, avoid common password mistakes that make it more vulnerable to security risks such as using common words that can be easily guessed.
Passwords should be complex and unique. Use passphrases that are hard for others to guess but easy for you to remember. It's also a good idea to change your password regularly while recycling an old password is a big no-no.
Enable 2FA to give your account an additional layer of security.
When you enable two-factor authentication (2FA) for your PDAX account, you will have to provide the 2FA code that will be sent to your mobile number via the Google Authenticator app every time you log in. This is in addition to providing your login credentials i.e. your username and password.
In a nutshell, this makes things difficult for potential attackers to access your account as they would not only need your username and password but must also be in possession of your 2FA mobile phone.
