How to trade with PHPT

Some tokens on PDAX are paired with PHPT instead of PHP. To trade with these tokens you must first convert your PHP to PHPT. Conversion between PHP and PHPT is free of charge. 

Once you have enough PHPT balance, you can proceed trading with the PHPT trading pair of your choice by following the steps below. For more detailed instructions and information on PHPT, you may access this link. 

What are the steps to trade with PHPT?

1. Sign in to your PDAX mobile app or at web.pdax.ph.

2. Tap the Trade icon at the bottom of your screen, then select the cryptocurrency you wish to buy or sell. (Make sure that the cryptocurrency is paired with PHPT instead of PHP.)

3. Enter the amount of PHPT you wish to trade for the selected cryptocurrency. You can also tap “switch” to enter the amount of the cryptocurrency that you wish to purchase instead.

4. Tap the Convert button.

5. A new window will appear asking you to confirm your order. The quoted price will automatically update every 15 seconds.

Please note that the price indicated before you confirm your order is only an approximate quote (indicated by ≈ ) as market prices continuously fluctuate in real time. Hence, the indicated price may not always match the executed price when you confirm your order (see Step 6). For more information on price slippage, you can visit this article. 

6. Slide the bar to confirm your order. A notification will appear confirming the placement of your order.

7. Return to Trade and tap the Trade Activity icon at the top right to view the status of your order.

Orders may take a minute to process and reflect in your portfolio. You can check the status of your order in Trade History.

How do I set a price when trading new coins?

Limit orders are not yet available for PHPT trading pairs.

Why can't I buy the new coins for their minimum amount in pesos?

The minimum price is based on the price multiplied by the minimum order quantity. The price of the coin may have increased, but the app has not received the updated price, causing the quote to fail. If you are having difficulty purchasing a cryptocurrency for the minimum amount in pesos, you may instead click or tap “Switch” (see Step 3) to purchase the cryptocurrency for its minimum amount in its own unit denomination.
