The Implementing Rules and Regulations of the Republic Act No. 11934 or SIM Card Registration Act take effect today December 27, 2022.
The act requires all new and existing telco subscribers to register their mobile numbers within 180 days starting from the implementation date. Failure to do so may result in account deactivation for existing subscribers.
Keeping your mobile number active is essential to continue making PDAX transactions and to enhance your account’s security.
A valid mobile number allows you to:
✅ Verify and manage your PDAX account
One of the key requirements in verifying your PDAX account is a mobile number. Verified accounts are entitled to the full features of the PDAX mobile app and web.pdax.ph.
✅ Cash in and cash out
Sending and receiving funds to and from your bank accounts and e-wallets often require a one-time password sent through your mobile number. Cashing in through Instapay will also require a valid mobile number which serves as your PDAX account number.
✅ Secure your account
Suspicious transactions and account activity can be easily monitored when your mobile number is linked to your PDAX account. Signing up for two-factor authentication (2FA) applications also often requires a valid mobile number.
✅ Receive important announcements and updates
All Verified, Premium, and Prime PDAX users have access to offers, feature updates, and events via SMS. Don’t miss out on the latest promos and PDAX news with a registered mobile number.
